01 Nov Lucky to be Stitching in 2020
Every time I stop to think about how my life has changed in 2020, I am so incredibly shocked. One would think that by now , I would have adjusted to this ‘new normal’ – but each day we stop and think of it, I still believe that soon things will revert to our previous ‘normal’. Unfortunately , no end is in sight .
So many of us became mask mavens and most have used at least a dozen patterns and designs! Many friends and customers of mine, have depleted their huge Stash of scraps!! We are a generous community and I am proud to say that I am a quilter , and have contributed in the efforts to eradicate COVID in my community, by creating and distributing masks and scrub caps.
As a small shop owner during this time, I have been blessed, in being supported by my stitching and quilting community. I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart! I was lucky enough to aid in the purchase of materials for my local county, to create masks for the local police. I also sent materials for mask making to those that need them, grateful that they were able to help others. I need to stop and smile; remembering all the local quilters that picked up supplies and dropped off finished masks and scrubcaps on my front porch- it was the busiest place in town!!! Thank you all!!
So now it is December 1, 2020! I am doing great , recovering from my recent hip replacement surgery; all of your cards, emails and get well wishes warmed my soul. Thank you! I am back to shipping ( yesterday 44 packages went out!) and…I am back in my studio stitching my heart out! Sew very lucky!
New fabrics are arriving each week, designed by your favorite artists: Tula Pink, Kaffe Fassett, Alison Glass, Guicy Guice, Tim Holtz and more! Notions and rulers are being replenished and Mini Oliso irons are ordered in turquoise and purple! I am updating the website and adding many free patterns!
Happy stitching my friends!
